Thousands Need a Helping Hand

From 2020 to 2022, Tigray endured a brutal war that resulted in the deaths of approximately one million people and the displacement of 2.1 million individuals from their homes. Over one hundred thousand women and girls experienced sexual violence, including gang rape, abduction, and slavery, as reported by human rights organizations and eyewitnesses. The scale of this violence has been unprecedented. Additionally, the region's social infrastructure, including healthcare facilities and schools, has been devastated, severely impacting its economy.
Following the peace agreement signed between the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) and the Federal Government of Ethiopia on November 3, 2022, there is hope for peace, resettlement, and reconstruction.
